When Patrice comes to mind, all things mundane and ordinary are forgotten. With a preferred soundtrack of death-metal, challenges bend like so many blades of grass in the wind before Patrice. She has taught Marketing for SUNY Empire State College Center for Distance Learning and International Programs (with Prague, Panama, Dominican Republic and Lebanon Programs). When she’s not running Ironman Triathlons, Patrice is an instructional designer for Cornell University, leading projects in MOOCs, online course design and development and globally networked learning environments. She currently teaches courses in Adult Learning Theory and Designing Online Learning Environments for SUNY Empire State College School for Graduate Studies. Patrice is passionate about about using technology to increase global access to STEM education and support inclusive learning environments. Patrice has led several design thinking studies to better understand how faculty and students experience learning in the digital age. Her research interests include women and STEM and the value of care work.
